Well after much though and research put into building a server that would meet my expectations and more. I have finally decided on the components and configuration of the servers I will be deploying into each of my nightclubs to run and operate each nightclub. Here are the specifications below. Power: Ultra X3 ULT40070 1600-Watt Power Supply System Board: Asus P6T-Deluxe Motherboard Processor: Intel Core i7 965 Processor Extreme Edition Memory: Corsair Core i7 Dominator 6GB PC12800 DDR3 RAM x 2 Video: XFX GeForce 9800 GTX + Video Card Hard Drives: IBM Express 300GB 15K RPM SAS Hard Drive x 2 Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10K RPM SATA-300 Hard Drive x 6 Optical Drive: Sony BWU200S Internal Blu-ray Disc™ Rewritable Drive My servers will play a vital role within each nightclub. -Firewall & Proxy Server -Application Server -E-Mail & Web Server -Storage Server -GPG Key Server -Security & Surveillance Server -Point of Sales System Server -Sound & Lighting Server One server for every one nightclub I open. I love virtulization technology. It definitly will allow me to leverage my resources and allocate my resources effectively and effiently in REAL-TIME! Obviously when I have more than one nightclub open, I will be opening up an office out of Windsor, Ontario, Canada to run a data center for Index Nightclub Inc. and create a WAN(Wide Area Network) to allow my network of nightclub servers to communicate with each other. That is when I will bring in the real servers. Some quad, quad core motherboards with 32GB+ of memory etc... I can't wait. I get so excited just visioning, planning and excuting all of this to acheive my dream. I am going to be a force to reckon with in the nightclub business and the markets I am targetting. |

Its -25C with the windshield on a Friday night in Toronto Canada. I'm just on my way home on the subway when I see the first group of clubbers heading downtown Toronto for a night out. This group of lady's were looking pretty sharp. Not to mention they were all wearing either a short dress or skirt. I took noticed that a few of them were even wearing open toed high heels! Now what is not surprising to me is that despite the weather, or how grim the economy is. The masses are always looking to head out to a nightclub or bar to enjoy themselves and just forget about what's happening in the world and living the moment. To those that tough it out through the elements and regardless of what others have to say about what you 're wearing especially in bad weather conditions. I appreciate your love for the night life and your mentality to just have fun. Not to mention the business hehe. You guys are true loyal customers that every nightclub owner should appreciate. |

In an event of an emergency. How safe are you in a nightclub? In response to the 62 people killed in a nightclub fire in Bangkok on New Year's Eve. Did Santikas nightclub owner Wisuth Setsawat take into consideration his patrons safety and security in his nightclub establishment? Do nightclub owners even have an emergency evacuation plan in the event of an emergency? My number one priority as a nightclub and business owner besides the obvious of creating a profit would always be the safety and security of my staff and patrons. My security force will be well trained and disciplined in an event of an emergency. The goal always, is to minimize the risk of any potential danger or harm that could jeopardize the safety of my staff or patrons within my nightclub establishments.
Any preventive measures that could be taken will be taken and executed by Index Nightclub.

Finally, I got rid of my Palm and picked up a BlackBerry. A BlackBerry Storm to be exact. I have been a Palm user for years and have been accustomed to the luxury of a touch screen display before they became very popular in todays smartphone designs. I originally wanted to go with a BlackBerry Bold, however I just couldn't imagine myself not having a touch screen display. So far so good but there are minor things that could improve my over all experience with my new BlackBerry. First and foremost is Linux support! Unfortunately Research In Motion Ltd. only has drivers and software released for Windows and Mac users. I don't understand why they wouldn't release drivers for the Linux community? Good thing for a project called Barry. "Barry is a GPL C++ library for interfacing with the RIM BlackBerry Handheld. It comes with a command line tool for exploring the device and a GUI for making quick backups. This project's goal is to create a fully functional syncing mechanism on Linux." If you are not comfortable or simply can't use CLI(command line interface), I don't recommend these early version of Barry One thing that bugs me is that I can not make folders within folders! Some default contents installed onto the device cannot be removed as well. The BlackBerry OS simply just doesn't have enough options to my liking. I wish they would release an open source version of their OS for more advance tech users, such as myself. All in all, I would go with a BlackBerry over Palm OS or Windows Mobile any day now that I have experienced the BlackBerry for myself. As Index Nightclub Inc. grows. BlackBerrys will be the main device for mobile communication. All office staff will be equipped with BlackBerrys and I can't wait to deploy a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and really start utilizing the full potential of a BlackBerry device. |

So I ran into an old friend of mine this past weekend while out watching UFC 91. As I was waiting in line to pay my cover charge. I noticed that the head door man/ bouncer looked very familiar. As I approached him with my identification. He asked me if I remembered who he was. I paused for a second to try and recall his name and finally I realized who he was. The head doorman / bouncer was an old manager at a nightclub I use to work for, a few years ago. He stilled remembered me as the "Sound & Lighting Guy". The nightclub use to contract me for extra sound and lighting applications and later on rewiring, fixing and maintaining all their nightclub equipment. Being able to throw down with the larger and bigger bouncers with my Muay Thai Martial Arts background. I eventually found myself working as a security guard / bouncer there whenever I got my other work done around the nightclub. As my evening came to an end. My old friend and I stood around and caught up. He had notified me that the nightclub I had once worked for had been shutdown and now he was working at the current place as the head bouncer. I had let him known of my plans of opening my nightclub and that I would love to make him a potential manager of one of my nightclubs. He was all in for it with a big smile on his face. I love running into old co-workers and friends of mine in the nightclub and bar industry. Everyone of them that I run into and share my goals sand dreams with . They all end up wanting to work with or for me, no matter where the location. I am greatful for having met people like these, that just want to help. I can see my nightclub empire growing day to day. It is an extrodinary feeling! |

Driving home back in May 2008 from Windsor, Ontario back home to Toronto, Ontario. The idea of opening my own nightclub was finally put into motion. It has always been a dream of mine to open and operate my very own nightclubs ,but I have always made excuses to myself why I shouldn't do it now. Excuses like, "When I have enough money", "When I have enough time", "When I get everything in my life settled", etc ... When would be a better time than now? It occurred to me that I am more than capable of making this dream into a reality. Ive been in the industry more than 10+ years. I have hands on experience from every aspect of creating the perfect nightclubs that I can share the experience with my guest and patrons. What really motivated me to take action now was the fact that 99% of the nightclubs and bars Ive been to and even worked for, fail to deliver on the full experience of how a nightclub atmosphere should feel and look like. In my honest opinion, these nightclubs and bar owners are doing a half assed job, yet they continue to make money and the rest fail to even keep their doors open. They lack the skill and mindset to take them to the next level and create even more profit. This is what really fired me up and got my juices flowing. My profession being a Sound Engineer, I am very well rounded in business from real world business experience, and understand the importance of creating a system that will virtually run itself. Having the pleasure of working on and fixing computers and electronics almost my entire life. No doubt in my mind that I will have a competitive edge in the market place. Sound, Lighting, Computers, Software, POS Systems, Security Systems, Networking, Business Experience & Knowledge applied with my Passion and Focus for what I Love Doing is my Formula for Success. This really is my playing grounds :) |

Jucies are flowing again and more progress has been made towards my dream of owning and operating a successful nightclub corporation. I have failed to achieve the goal I had set back in June to get operations underway for October and launch my first nightclub for New Years Eve 2008. I understand the importance of setting goals, so that I can measure my progress. I have reset my goal to open and launch my first nightclub for the summer of 2009 in the month of June. I found myself putting my dreams off to the side and not making the effort to make time to work towards my dreams as life got in the way. I have made the commitment to myself that I will work atleast, one hour minimum a day towards my dreams and goals in life. I know in the end, my efforts and determination to accomplish the things I have set out to acheive, will be well worth the sweet equitity I invested in myself. |
